Originally from Boston, MA. Derick later moved to central Florida where he would grow his interest in the legal field and plan for his future. Derick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. After graduation he attended law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas where he spent his academic tenure learning the practical and ethical essentials to build a successful career in the practice of law. Derick's experience extends beyond basic legal research and writing. He is experienced in legal disputes and developing solution and strategies to encompass both sides of a legal perspective. Derick has worked closely with trial litigation attorneys representing indigent clients in misdemeanor criminal proceedings. Throughout his law school career, Derick competed in moot court competitions and went on to become a student attorney in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Criminal Defense/ Title IX Clinic where he formed a reputation as a detailed, honest, and zealous advocate for others. Aside from the practice of law, Derick is an active member in fitness gyms. He also enjoys sports, fashion, and exploring other cultures.
